Can children attend?
Children 10+ are welcome to attend a regular class (unless otherwise noted in the class description). Children 10-15 years of age must practice alongside their own parent or guardian. Participants under the age of 18 must provide a signed parent/guardian waiver in order to participate. For children under age 10, please contact goatyourback@goatyogachicago.com to schedule a private event.
Do I need to bring my own yoga mat?
Yes, or you can purchase a mat onsite for $10. In order to ensure the health and safety of all participants, mats cannot be rented.
Are you open year-round?
Yes, we're open year-round. We try our best to hold classes outdoors: however, we utilize our heated indoor yoga studio during inclement weather and winter months. Since the pandemic and our response to it remains fluid, class locations and sizes are subject to change.
Do you offer private events?
Yes, we offer private events. Whether it be corporate team building events, birthdays, bachelor/bachelorette parties, large group outings, special recreation, holiday parties, networking, or design your own, we goat you covered! Contact Us for more information.
I'm new to yoga, can I attend?
Absolutely! No experience is necessary to participate in class. Many of our participants are beginners. Our instructors will talk through each pose making it a comfortable and judgement free experience.
Do I have to participate in the yoga portion of the class?
We would love for you to give the yoga a try, but if you would rather sit down on your mat and snuggle the goats, that is OK too.
Can I bring a family member or friend to take pictures? Can I just watch?
Unfortunately we do not allow spectators. We want everyone to feel comfortable and have an enjoyable experience so all guests must register to attend. Our staff is more than happy to help you take photos.
How many people attend each class?
Class size varies based on location. We do our best to have comfortable class sizes and a healthy goat to human ratio. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, classes will be limited to 15 guests.
Are there bathrooms?
Yes.
I was loving on all the goats. Can I wash my hands?

Do the goats smell?
Surprisingly, no! Our goats live outside in a barn and naturally have their own scent as would any other animal. We take great care of our goats and keep them and their homes clean.
Will I get pooped on?
While it doesn’t happen often, it is possible. However, our classes are fully staffed to make sure any accidents that may happen are taken care of and cleaned up promptly. We take pride in keeping our facilities clean and sanitary so that all of our guests have an enjoyable experience.
Do the goats bite?
No, but they are curious animals and will nibble at your hair, clothing, zippers, buttons or anything dangling they can get their mouths on.
Do the goats headbutt?
Yes they do, but only each other. That’s their way of playing together.
What is the cost of each class and what does it include?
Unless otherwise noted, each class is $39 which includes 30 minutes of yoga led by one of our certified yoga instructors followed by 30 minutes of free time with the goats to take photos, cuddle them, relax in the pasture (weather permitting) or inside our yoga studio.
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable attire, dress in layers, and cover your back. T-shirts are better than tank tops in case K.B., Thor, or Loki decide to jump on your back. Please bring a face mask. Avoid any long strings or items hanging from your clothing.

Where are the goats during class?
The goats are free to walk around the class, cuddle up on your mat, and possibly jump on your back.
Are the goats forced to participate?
Our goats love Goat Yoga and being with people. They are not forced to participate. They love treats, belly scratches, and human affection all of which are a big part of the class.
Do you allow dogs and other pets?
No. Please do not bring any pets or other animals to the event venue.
Do you keep all of your goats? What are they used for?
Our goats are our pets, they are in their forever home. We have many loving, sweet adult goats on our farm, in addition to our babies.
I registered for a class. Will the tickets be mailed?
There are no tickets. Your online class reservation serves as your class confirmation. After registering for a class, you will receive an email confirmation.
